Attic Creature, Part 1
A few nights ago at 1am, I woke my parents up with some low growling noises. Dad decided to check the hallway outside our bedroom door. We kept hearing this thud. I, of course, stayed in my bed since I had done my job alerting my parents of the strange noise. Dad thought the noise came from the downstairs fireplace and that maybe we had a bird stuck in the fireplace like we once did before. So he went back to bed.
Mom wasn't convinced and she stood in the hallway and looked UP above her head. Yikes! The noise was coming from a creature stuck in our light fixture, and it had apparently come through our attic because there are only 2 ways into that light fixture -- the attic or our hallway! It seemed to keep hopping around but it couldn't get out! Other than that, it didn't make any noise.
This pic shows it from a distance. It is relatively small... about an inch or two big.

Here is a closer view of its shadow:

Thinking it could be a baby bird, mouse, rat, bat, or the unlikely spider (a hopping spider?) or frog (because it sounded like it was truly hopping), they didn't want to open the light fixture and have it start flying around or crawling around the interior of the house. By the way, my doghouse is a 2 story house.
After 24 hours had passed, they opened the light fixture up because the animal was not moving anymore. What do you CSI detectives think it was? Tomorrow we will reveal the answer to the mystery!
RIP little creature. I do hope he (or she) had a rainbow bridge to go to.

The suspense is killing me! I am glad that it wasn't able to get into your actual house. Would you have chased it if it did?
Love,

Hi Hana!
I don't know what that creature is! I hope it is happily hopping at the rainbow bridge too, whatever it is.

Hana,
This sounds like a ghost story! How did you ever go back to sleep after that? I would guess that you had a little lizard invader...or hopefully something as nonthreatening as that. Do tell...
eeek I would of had my dog ready to eat it LOL
