Work Before Play
Last weekend it was off to Home Depot. Work before play, my parents said. I said "Okay, as long as we go to the park afterwards. Do you promise?"
So there I stood in the Home Depot cart. Typical routine for me. Been there, done that. Do you think orange flatters me?
But then we went to Lowes! Holy cow! What's with this cart?
I'm not a baby, ya know? And I'm not a miniature eskie, nor a toy eskie. Lowes, I'm a standard eskie!!!! STANDARD! S-T-A-N-D-A-R-D And a large standard at that!! And the red strappy thing doesn't fit my waist. I can't even change positions in this cart. This Lowes cart is NOT flattering. How does Lowes think they are going to make any sales to dog people?
Seriously, Mom! Why can't I sit in the lower area? Maybe the bottom part is for big dogs like me?
But it got worse.... what's with this paint store? Why can't I go INSIDE like I did at the other two stores?
After being discriminated against at the paint store and having to suffer humiliation sitting in the baby cart at Lowes, we went to my favorite park to run free! (well, okay... maybe not exactly free in this photo... but I was later)
I love going to this park. I skip about and run back and forth between my parents. My heart does little leaps and I'm happy sniffing the air around me and rolling around in the grass. But I tired myself out and was ready to go home.
At least last weekend ended on a good note. Hope your weekend is pretty good!

Hi Hana! OMD! My mom went to HD and Lowes today to but not a paint store. What is going on at your house? Are you parents remodeling or something? My mom is a mad gardener this time of year, so she is always outside planting stuff.
Glad you got to go to the park at least.
We have to say we laughed seeing you in the top part of that Lowe's cart....hee hee.

What a great weekend. Dogs are not allowed in most stores and parks in here. I keep telling my mom that I would like to file a legal action for discriminatory acts committed against animals. Do you want to join me? hehehe

What an exciting weekend! The shopping cart at Lowe's is weird but cute...did your Mommy let you sit in the lower part? I'm sorry that you couldn't go into the paint store.:( I'm so glad that you had fun at the park. No more rain.:)

At least your Home Depot lets you in! Last time I went with Dad a guy in an orange smock came up and YELLED at him that the store "did not allow pets of any kind on the premises!" It looks like your parents have some Spring projects in mind. Nothing as much fun as going to the off-leash park, I bet...it looks like a blast!
Mom says the Lowes they go to doesn't have those kinf of carts. I've never been there because it's in another town.
Running free is a lot of fun!!
