Proud or Embarrassed AND Blankies
Here is a poll I am taking. I want to know which of your parents are proud (or embarrassed) about your bloggy. Are my parents the only ones who are embarrassed about having their dogchild have a dog blog?
(there should be a poll below.... if not, then it isn't working... oops)
Copper asked about the pink thing I was wrapped in my last post. The pink taco thing is a blankie my Mom made. She has made a lot of fleece blankies. They are sooo soft. Here are some close ups of the oh-so-soft blankies. Well, the winnie the pooh blankie isn't that soft, but they look nice.
This my MY blankie that I share with my Mom:

My Mom made this blankie for the girl across the street, the one that I spy on. My Mom liked the colors so much that she ended up making one for herself with the same colors!:

This is my Dad's blankie. Why he chose a blah blue for one side is beyond me! :

This was made for a human coworker for his barkday. He likes cats as you can tell. On the blankie are nursery rhymes and a cat in the hat:

This was for the other human pup across the street, another person I spy on regularly. He likes fire engines and race cars! :

This one was for a baby shower:

And these non-fleece blankies were for some newborns. Not as soft, but my Mom didn't know better at the time:

This one is sorta fleecy.... made for a newborn:

The fleece blankies are no-sew blankies. No sewing machine or thread is necessary. Just need two pieces of fleece fabrics, lay them back to back and make sure they are the same size. Then cut each corner out, about 5 or 6 inch squares. Then, cut along the edges so they make fringes (you can use a rotary cutter and a rubber mat underneath -- mom forgets the specific terms, but if you are curious, let her know and she will find out), then tie the fringes together, and voila, a fleece blankie!

The blankies are all beautiful!
Mom has her blog address as her signature at the end of all of her emails and because my dad is a timberframer and a heart recipient my blog address reaches lots of people. We're not embarrased to blog at all!
Love ya lots,
Maggie
Hi Hana
I filled in your poll, my Mum and Dad are proud of me as their 'working dog'. Love the blankets, mine are not as luxurious as yours but I have six different sleeping places scattered around the house and car.
Licks and hugs, Kev xx
Hi Hana,

Hi, Hana.
My mom doesn't have a lot of friends but the ones she has know about my blog (and some of them don't understand why I have a blog!)
Your mom is very talented. I love all those blankies, they are beautiful.

Your mama makes some very cool blankies, Hana! We like to snuggle in nice, soft blankies, too! Especially in the wintertime. It looks like you had a really fun time at that BBQ party. Those were some strange toes on that dog that lived there! We answered your poll question. Some people think its cool and others think its the stupidest thing ever. Thats OK cuz we love to do it!! Belly Rubs, Tasha & Eva.
P.S. Would it be OK if we linked to your blog from ours? We love your blog!!
Hsns I love you blankets. Hershey's baby sister has one. My Mom has a story to tell you. One time she tried to make a pillow for somebody out of the fuzzy fleece you can buy. It has a pile on it. Don't every use that stuff for one of those tie blankets because it shed something terrible. Mom stopped and put it back in the bag and gave it back to the lady. What a mess!!!
My Mom loves to blog and she tells some people and keeps it a secret from others. Part of the fun of it is that it can be a secret hobby!
Hey Hana,
I think Mom is secretly proud of my blog...we aren't even sure if Dad knows we have a blog. LOL!!
I love your blankies..will you make one for me too? hehe....
WOW - they are some real cool blankies Hana - your ma is very talented !
Try telling people that you host a whole website dedicated to dogs who blog ! LOL ! You either get it - or you don't :)
Love
Opy
HI hana,

Cool blankets!

Hi Hana,
Oh my doG.. those blankies are the loveliest I have seen and I am totally impressed.. My mom is totally hopeless so no chance of her making it for me anytime soon. You are such a lucky gal!!
I'm back! Your mom is so creative. And my claire is so proud of my bloggy, she posted it on a brochure she made at work. Now she needs to update it more often!
Hana, your mom is very crafty and talented. Our girl can barely fold a blankie, much less make one!
Hi Hana,
Just took your poll. Mommy def. boasts to the entire world about my blog. Most folks thinks its pretty cool....but then there are those who believe she's in desperate need of psychiatric help...LOL!~
Wow, those blankies look so soft and comfy!! And the patterns and colors are awsome! Mommy really loves the pink one she made for the girl you spy on. Very very pretty!!! It's too bad Mommy has no artistic abilities what so ever. She can barely sew a button back on.
Luv,
Tobes
Hi hana!
I'm 26 lbs! I had been gaining weight because my grammy hooman was giving me too many high calorie cookies, but then sister told her she couldn't do that anymore, so i'm going back down to my normal size! i usually am about 24-25 lbs... but with all those cookies, i had gained 2 pounds in 6 months! Sister said it wasnt healthy so she got these special vet diet cookies. So i can have about 3-4 in the morning (she still has trouble with grammy) and get only 8 calories, where i was getting about 30 a cookie, and grammy was giving me 4-5!
Woof!
wow that was a lot of information that you probably didnt want to know!
sorry!
:)
Oh.. what alot of nice blankies you have... The fleece type look really comfy
