I Wanna Know !!!

Lady Kaos tagged me earlier to show my tummy pics, so I showed the one tummy pic I had in my previous post. Well, as I was looking for my tummy pics, I remembered that I wanted to tag you all and ask you how you came to being a blogging dog. Here is my story. I hope you all will share your stories on your bloggies too.

My mom helps my Grandma Ruth by organizing the annual family eskie reunion. She sends emails to all my relatives, keeps track of who is coming and which potluck dish they are bringing, and helps with Grandma Ruth's eskie web site. Through this, we get to know some of my relatives. Well, Ender is my nephew. He is my brother's son.

Ender told me he had a blog and said how my mom could post a link to his blog under our grandma's Family Links page. So, that's when I started to check out Ender's blog. Ender happened to have a post on Casper D Dog because Casper had collapsed from Evan's Syndrome and Casper needed all the well wishes and prayers possible. That was how I got to know Casper and as many of you know, Casper is my boyfriend. We have been on 3 dates so far!

I would check out Ender's and Casper's blogs regularly. They suggested that I should also have a blog because all dogs should have a blog, right?!! And then I pronounced to my mom that I decided I was gonna start a bloggy of my own!

I guess the reason I am telling this story is because I feel so honored to be a part of such a great online community of dog bloggers, plus I have gotten to know a lot of dogs from the eskie forum. I didn't really realize how wonderful it is to be part of this community until my Mom helped with the Let's Help Casper Auction! So many dogs came together to support and help out Casper! Opy published a post on her web site and made a banner for everydog to use in their posts. DWB posted the big banner on the DWB site. So many of you posted links to the auction. So many of you registered and bid on items! Even the dogs who bid but didn't win still helped greatly by helping to bid amounts up. So many of you donated items and bid! There was Asta, Freda, Hershey, Buster, Ronak, Butchy and Snickers, Boomer, Ivy, Billy Boo, Casper and friends, Zach, Five Happy Hounds, Cherokee.... oh, I know I am missing some dogs! (sorry!) Others wanted to help out too, but they missed the deadlines or were in non-Canada/US. So many helped to run the web site! We had dogs from all over the internet... those from DWB, from Eskie.net, from EskieShots, from PeskiPix, and dogs from rescue groups and individuals as well!

Everydog, even if you didn't or couldn't participate in the auction, please be proud you are part of such a great community! Pat yourselves on the head!
