The Moon and the Mouse House

My mom has been busy hogging the computer since she got back from her vacation with my dad. Well, it's been with good reason because she has been helping a LOT with the Let's Help Casper Auction, so in light of that, I gave her my approval. By the way, today my mom posted a great donation by Asta's Mom. She donated to the highest bidder a painted portrait of their pet. Everydog, check it out! And check out her pet paintings!

So, back to my mom's vacation. While she was on vacation with my dad, *I* was on vacation at my grandparents' house! I always have fun at my grandparents' house, so it was okay that my parents did not take me with them. My grandparents and I shared lots of secrets, some of which I won't tell you, but they spoiled me with lots of human food, like canned salmon and cottage cheese. I think I gained a pound or two! They also take me on walkies, many more than the walkies I get with my parents.

The first couple nights at my grandparents' house I decided to roam around downstairs at night time. It was only later that I realized freedom isn't always that great since I was alone downstairs all by my lonesome self. So then I decided to sleep upstairs with my grandparents! Yeh!

Well, I wanted to share with you some pictures my parents took on their vacation... hope you like them!

I can't remember where this is, but I think it must be where Ivy lives because it looks like Ivy wrote it... not some guy named Tom:

My mom told me she learned that the average astronaut in the 1970's had 1 dog. I think a lot of your parents must be astronauts, too... a lot of you are only dogs, right? :

This shows my parents went to the moon. Now, how many of you can say your parents have been to the moon? I CAN! Hmmm, maybe Isabella's Linda and Mike have been to the moon, afterall, the moon lives in the same state as Isabella. Hey, I just realized my parents didn't bring me back any moon cheese!

While they were visiting the moon, a lady told them when vultures are near, it could mean there is a gas leak. She said a gas leak attracts vultures because the smell is the same smell as when vultures are in heat and mating, so they will congregate there. I don't know what that nonsense means. Whatever.

I guess my Mom got out of that vulture place quickly and went to eat. Weird the restaurant had some cats and dogs taking a nap...

My Mom said these chairs would look good on Copper's porch. Copper, do you have rocking chairs like these? If not, you could get one or two for Mother's Day.

This big place my parents went to had lots of garden decorations all over the park. My Mom says Copper's Mom would really enjoy seeing all the decorations and flowers. I don't think Copper would like the rose garden though.

Look at the size of these Pams and Kens!! I wonder if they are as big as Ivy's Pams and Kens?

I did not know Pams and Kens could live in nets! Would that somehow help Pams and Kens from rotting in wet soil or from being eaten by pests that run around on the ground?

I'd like to see Ivy's Randy and Lindsay grow some 9 pound lemons! How's that for a challenge?

Hey Copper, I know your Mom doesn't think much of ugly bushy tomatoes in wire cages, but how about a tomato tree?

Did you know watermelon can grow on trees? They can also be shaped into neato shapes! Do you see the weird looking watermelon at the top in the picture? Are watermelons supposed to be that yellow?

Hey, more Pams and Kens. And they are going to be in special shapes too! Hey Ivy, can your Randy and Lindsay make new Pams and Kens next year that are shaped like a dog?

Another tomato tree:

Hey, look at those cute sea horses!

This looks like fishies with a big giant fish leading the school! What kind of fish is that big fish?

Here is more of that garden stuff that decorated the park:

My parents ate at this restaurant. My mom was disappointed that she did not get to sit next to the window that showed all the fishies.

Well, she still enjoyed the restaurant. Look at these weirdo light fixtures!

My mom likes this doorknob. Hmmm, seems she has a thing for seahorses. Do I have anything to be worried about?

What is it? Looks strange to me! If it's an animal, I think he left some poop pellets on the ground!

Mom says people want to dress up as animals sometimes:

I don't know why she took a picture of this. She's got the real thing right here!

Can anydog spot the bunny? Zach, I bet you can sniff out a bunny really fast coz you have bunnies at home!

The bunny was trying to HOP the train!! (hee hee... like my pun?)

When they visited Germany, mom noticed this glass beer stein. She says she had gotten one from ebay one time and was surprised to see the same thing at this Germany place. By the way, it's got wolves on it.

Creepy!! Look at all those heads without bodies!!

Dog??? I don't think that looks like a DOG, do you? Well, my mom saw this in China, so maybe it is a Chinese dog.

Now ya just have to look closely at this next picture, okay? My mom was very proud she snapped this picture at just the right moment. Those silvery bowls in the air were first on the girls foot and she tossed them in the air, then they landed in a pile on her head, all while she was on a one peepol bike.

My mom says I should be very worried about this next picture. Ivy, can your Randy read what it says on the package? He went to Munich, didn't he? I think it says something about how there are cat parts you can eat. Yuck!

My mom says she would never think to put cucumbers on a tree:

OK you guys, this is a weird picture. This is a picture of some animal poopies:

And my mom got to see some vets performing a checkup on a tarantula that lost a leg!

I thought dragons weren't for real...

Ohhhh, giraffes. My mom loves giraffes! She saw this on her jungle safari!

Sometimes I hear stuff about termites. Well, these are termite mounds. If you see these near your house, then you probably have termites.

Bats in the daylight? What is this dogworld coming too?

These two bats do not like each other....

...because here you can see they are having a "bat fight" (get it??)

After her jungle safari, she saw these two weird looking dogs. Can you believe she said they were cute? I'm glad she didn't bring them home with her! I like being the only dog in the house.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my picture show of my parents' trip to the moon, Germany, China, the sea, the jungle safari... oh, am I missing anything... I bet I am! Hopefully this long post makes up for me not blogging for a while. Hope all you dogs are doing well!

I think only ONE pickle is supposed to be in your tree - not a whole tree full of them! It's for good luck or something. Sure looks like your folks had a good vacation! Now where's the photos of YOUR vacation - especially the salmon and cottage cheese, YUM!

Oh my dogness Hana, I have never seen so many vacation pictures. I can't figure out where they went. I especially liked the plants growing in the air. I used to have a rocker on my porch but Mom moved it to the upstairs bedroom when she got the plastic wicker furniture. I am not sure why. I didn't live here then.
