Sunday Dogventures and Mr. Lizard

We were invited to my dad's coworker's house for a BBQ lunch on Sunday. Here I am getting ready for the party! Don't I look festive? I got my lunchbox all packed and ready to go:

We took the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge to the BBQ. Here we are driving on the bridge. The building way in the back on the right is called San Quentin Prison. My Mom said the inmates at San Quentin sure have a nice view of the water and are sitting on some prime real estate. She also said to be sure to tell all you dogs that the BBQ we were going to was NOT at San Quentin.

At the BBQ, I found what shade I could:

The shade moved, so I sat in the cool grass later.... ahhhhh....

This is my new best friend. We are snacking on cheez-its. Hello new best friend... can I have another cheez-it?

This dog lives at the BBQ place:

He's got weird toes. I think he's got an extra toe:

That extra toe way in the back flops around a lot:

Did I hear someone say canned chicken? I must inspect!

Life is not fair. Where do people get all this food? Can I have some too?

You guys are gonna laugh at my new friend, Mr. Lizard. Mr. Lizard does push ups, yeah, for real!! Check out the video!!

I wonder if Chicote knows why the lizard fellow was doing push ups.

And afterwards, ANOTHER trip to Home Depot! My parents said they are going to have their Monday holiday stolen from them because of a pipe leak in their sprinkler system. That means MY Monday will be stolen because my parents won't be spending time with me on their day off/holiday

Hey Hana,
The BBQ looks quite fun but where's the fire?? or the BBQ pit? I heard there's usually more good food there.
Well, you can tell us either 7 or 8 things about yourself then. :)There are wayyy too many tagging games going round. :P

Wow, both you and Luckie have lizards in your blogs today. I have lizards in my yard but I don't have any pictures. You look so cute in your pictures. You are so white and fluffy I just can't stand it. We would make a cute couple. Does your Mom brush you every day?

What kind of bbq was that where they fed you chicken in a can??? Wasn't there some yummy grilled meats?

That lizard looked just like ours! Ours do the funny bobbing up and down, too. I ate one once when i was apuppy but leave them alone now because it makes Linda upset if I bother them. But Emmy? Heck she is after them all the time. Hard to tell how many she has eaten. She doesn't care if Linda gets upset-LOL!

Hope your folks got the pipe fixed.

Hi Copper! My mom has been brushing me more and more lately... something about my undercoat and the warmer weather now that summer is around the corner. I HATE being brushed!! Yesterday my mom actually trimmed the long parts of my fur so brushing should be easier. She's not done yet, but she says right now I look like a log. That means I have no waist right now because my fur is too even. My fur is still long and fluffy though!

Hey dogs, many of you asked about the BBQ. Well, I didn't get any BBQ meats... only the peepol got BBQ foods. NOT FAIR! Remember my lunch box in the first picture? That had my kibble in it and was my lunch. Well, I did get cheez-its though!

Hey Hana,
I just checked my bank account (ok, i mean my treats container) I don't see any extra $$ from my Dad so nope, he's certainly not paying me for the publicity. Sheesh.
Yes, the Toucan is real and I shall show you why in the next post.

Hana,

The BBQ sounds fun. My girl always leaves us behind when she goes to BBQs - and locks us up when she hosts them. Your people are much more fun.
Comet

The dog that lives at the BBQ place looks just like my former best friend, Tequila (except she didn't have the freaky extra toe). Some days I miss her a lot. She was much nicer than Comet.

You sure are looking fluffy these days! Better lay off those cheez-its, hee hee hee. Just kidding - I know it's all that darn fur! Sure looks like you had a good time though - aren't new friends great - especially ones with FOOD!

I do push ups to be impressive around females. Does your lizard friend have a buddie. If not it can also be a sign of look how tough I am. I love chicken too wish I could have come.
