9th Annual Family Reunion
On Sunday we had our family reunion. I think there were 19 eskies there, plus one Great Pyrenees! Here is our family photo. There were 2 puppies missing in this photo since they were sleeping in their crate. Can you tell which eskie is me in the photo?
I was acting a bit strange at the party. When my Grandma Ruth came to pet me, I cowered in a corner. Later I wanted to sit under the chair, which is something I hardly ever do. I guess I am getting cranky in my old age. You see, I was the oldest eskie at the reunion. I am only 8.5 years old which is young for an eskie. Ok, I guess I was just moody and wanted some peace and quiet. I wasn't even paying attention to my Mom... that upset her a bit... I was her disobedient child and wouldn't do anything she said.

Here are three 8 week old puppies. Ender is the uncle of these puppies.

This is also a puppy from the same litter as above. Right now this girl's name is No Name. She is Schmoopy's new sister!!!

Are you wondering who Schmoopy is? He has a dog blog, and he is my nephew and Ender's half-brother. His family flew all the way from Virginia to pick up Schmoopy's new little sister!!! It was very nice meeting Schmoopy. Schmoopy is a pretty cool dude, very laid back. I think I like my nephew.
This is me, Schmoopy, and No Name:

This fellow is Teddy. His Mom made him a pretty nifty name tag! Maybe next year I'll be so lucky to get a name tag!

One lady gave a demo on conformation showing. Here is Schmoopy giving it a try:

And who is this? This is Brix. Maybe not an Eskie, but she fit in pretty well. She is only 5 months old! Holy Moly, she is big for 5 months old! She is only one month older than those puppies.

Here is Schmoopy taking a snoozer. Must be the jet lag. Why would anydog want to sleep at the event of the year????? Schmoopy???? Inquiring minds want to know.

Here is a cute video of Schmoopy singing a tune. I think he'd do well on American Idol! Four paws up, I say!

Wow, sooo many fluffy whities! Oh maybe you were not in such a great mood Hana. I become like that too sometimes & can get pretty aggressive. Only when I am feeling crabby but most of the time I'm not like that. Schmoopy ings well & he didn't even go out of tune! Nice job!

Oh Aunt Hana! I would have loved to be there! If I was my mom says that I would have been the most disobedient one there...and the most unbehaved! Hahaha! Boy those puppies are sure cute! My parents say they might be ready for a puppy in a few more years! Looks like I missed out on all the fun!
Hi Hana,
What a great event you had again! You all look so white and floofy together! Schmoopy is a great singer too....he should try out for PetStar on Animal Planet! Are you feeling ok now? I hope so. Hey....you and I are just about the same age! I was 8 in about May sometime....don't know my real birthday.

Pee Ess: I was going to post the mini horse report from Jasmine but decided to do it tomorrow since today is Sept 11.
Wow! Looks like you had a great time!I think Schmoopy has sung that song before. He knew all the words!

Thank you Aunt Hana for posting my pics and my talent show debut! It was so great to see you in person! I certainly hope I get a chance to see you again!!
kisses and cuddles,
Schmoopy
Hana you have a beautiful family but it is easy to pick you out of the crowd...you can't hide your regal bearing and natural charm so it is a good thing you are front and center (which is exactly where I would expect you to be).

Hana,a family reunion would have been the perfect place for a joint howl-along especially with Schmoopy leading the choir!
A cocounut fruit pop is like a popsicle made with frozen coconut milk and flecked with coconut bits...yum!!! Dreyer's makes a version but here in Albuquerque we have street vendors who sell a mexican version. If you ever get a chance try them!

We spot you right in the front in your beautiful ribbon necklace, Hana! You have such handsome friends!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
What an awesome party! It's wonderful! And what a cute baby sister Schmoopy has!
Hi, Hana!
I love to see your family reunions pictures!
You all are adorable and the puppies too!
Kisses and hugs

Hana,
The tiles are travertine in our new house. My mom loves them and the wood floor. We don't have as much carpet here at the new house.

Wow, so many Eskies! Hey I looked at Schmoopy's blog and he lives in my neck of the woods. Mom works in Vienna VA and my breeder/groomer lives there too! We're in Sterling, just up the road. Small world!
I'll have to give a listen next time I come to Vienna for a haircut to see if I can hear him singing...
Love,
Rudy
That's so cool that you get to meet your relatives. I'm adopted and don't know any of my relatives.
The puppies are so cute.

Hana,
I know with your lovely necklaces and elegant demeanor that you have perfect party manners. Of course, I don't get sauce on my fur being a dainty lady...nor would you! Tell your mom to try let you try it (with lots of parmesan)!

G'day Hana
Wow that's a lot of white fur in one place!
Cheers
Charlie
oh hana you are right i have loads of cat friends. None of the doggies seemed to want to be my friend. Out of distress, sister let me ask the cat blogosphere for some friends... and i got a HUGE number of comments from them!
She actually was thinking about giving up on my blog because of lack of interest. We were kind of sad :(
I think you and I would look cute together in a Hanacar! It is just the right size for two.
My daddy has been flying all over the place and mom is sooooo jealous! He just got back from San Juan, Puerto Rico, right now. Mom does not think it is fair, and daddy Len says it is not as fun as it seems.....mom does not believe him!

Pee Ess: My mom loves the travertine. So far it seems that they do not stain so they must be sealed. We know this because Misty has thrown up monster hairballs in my daddy's study a few times and they clean right up, no problem!
What a fun gathering and all of you are so cute..
~ Girl girl
Hi Hana,
I will definitely be your co-pilot! Do you think you can learn how to fly?
Guess what? Remember how long ago mom went to CA on that interview? Well, mom has been stalling them and negotiating since, and she just accepted the position! Mom is a little nervous leaving a company she has been with for almost 8 years, but hopefully this will be a good move. Mom has to come out to Hayward for training the week of Oct 5. Mom is not sure of her schedule yet, but maybe just maybe, she could try to meet you?
--JB
Hi Hana,
We saw your picture at Isis's blog and came over. We had an Eskie Sister, Katie, who went to the bridge. We miss her very much. Mom loves to see Eskie pictures (even though they sometimes make her eyes leak).
Sniffie and the Florida furkids
Hi Hana,
I will let you know when my mom knows her schedule! Mom says thanks for the congratulations. We'll be in touch!

Oh, Hana, it was very sweet of you to visit our blog and bring some cheer to our patient, Scarlet.
You might not know it, but we have been to your blog way, way back. We follow Casper D's blog and we read some of his friends too.
I have four japanese spitz dogs whom I love dearly. But sadly, I have been separated from them for four years now due to my work in another city. I only see them once or twice a month ( I have to work to provide all their needs and luxury hehe). This is the reason why I love it so much to visit doggy blogs, especially that of an eskie( to which my spitz doggies have a similarity)
We would like to add you to our list of favorite blogs, will that be okay?
Pee Ess: We are amazed with the number of dogs in your reunion!
-Lilli, the Animal Doc's Secretary
we found all 17!!! you are in the middle!
Hi Hana, this is the Secretary of the Animal Doctor's blog. I already created a link to your blog. I am sooo happy to have you and Casper as friends, especially that American Eskies are somewhat related to my Japanese Spitz doggies. Yes Jappy is a japanese spitz, by the way.
You are right, the coats of spitz dogs are like non stick pans! Dirt and grime don't stick long in it. I bathe my spitz 3 or 4 times in a year. And people even ask if i do something with their fur, like bleach it? Hehe
Maraming Salamat ( means Thank you in our language)for dropping by our blog.
kisses, the Secretary
Hana you need a new post! What have you been doing since the big reunion? Yes, my dad DID buy a Zap! Xebra. We are going to post pictures but he let me go with for the test ride and it is cool! I think we are going to go to Santa Rosa in Jan. to the Zap school to learn how to take care of the mechanics parts. Is that near where you live? I hope so because they we could meet in person!
P.S. Isn't it cool that my mom FINALLY figured out how I could sign my own blog comments? She is such a techno geek but I love her.
