Going to Lake Del Valle... My Busy July

I've been a social butterfly this July. Last week I had my half sister over at my dog house for a BBQ. Today I got a trip to Lake Del Valle. Next week I am going to Abby the Eskie's Barkday Pawty. And the week after my friends, Nuuk and Tako, are driving all the way from Quebec to California for their N&T Tour! What an exciting July is for ME!

Here are photos from our day today at the lake. We first went to Costco to pick up a salad and turkey wrap for our lake expedition. Smell that Costco fresh air!....

At the lake, I had my eye on that man's sandwich:

We did a lot of walking on the paved area and the grass. My Mom and Dad aren't accustomed to sitting on grass, especially when it's filled with weeds and bare spots and litter. They were noticeably uncomfortable! Come on Mom and Dad, relax! You're even sitting on a towel!

While my Mom was eating her turkey wrap, some wasps came for a visit. Mom starting waving her hands around haphazardly and the turkey wrap came close to my mouth! I think when you get a food invitation like that, it means it's yours, right? So, I took a big lick of it and when my Mom turned around, she saw a big drooly go from my mouth to her turkey wrap. So, she ate around the part I tagged as mine and gave it to me later. Yay, I win!

My Mom likes this photo of me with the pretty background:

I hope you all had a great Sunday with your humans!

p.s. Here is a homemade Frosty Paws recipe! I'm going to get to eat it on this hot Sunday!

Homemade Frosty Paws

32 ounces plain yogurt
1 mashed banana
2 Tablespoons peanut butter
2 Tablespoons honey

Mix all ingredients in blender, then dump into paper cups or ice cube tray and freeze.

That looks like a fun day, Hana! You sure are a social butterfly.....who knew you were this popular? Maybe you are getting famous again! What kind of litter was that? Kitty litter?
Oh, and you always look amazing in all your photos, no matter what is in the background. Frosty paws sound yummy. Can salmon be added to them?

We love Costco! I wish we lived somewhere not so hot so we could spend all day outside like you! And yes...waving the wrap around WAS an invitation for you to get some, so at least you got some at the end! I'll have to command my parents to try the frosty paws...I think they owe me that much since my dad has been gone for two weeks, and my mom will be leaving for three weeks soon...without me, yes, I need some frosty paws!

I asked my mom if I could be his co-pilot and ride in the cockpit, and he said he will check with the FAA. I might need a high chair to see over the windshield!

Do you believe in fate, Hana? I believe that the universe aligned just so that you could get to eat some of that turkey wrap. The universe is always guiding our lives according to the fortune cookie I got a few weeks ago. Pretty cool, huh?

And thank you so much for that recipe... my big sis totally used it tonight and I am feeling way refreshed.

Hana, I bet your frosty paws recipe would be super delicious with a peach thrown in! Even though we have eaten our entire harvest, my family loves to chop up fresh peaches and mix them in vanilla ice cream. I lick up every drop! Hope you have a nice lake vacation.

Hello dear friend!

I've come by to say i left you something special right this way...

I'm very proud of you for getting yourself part of the turkey wrap! Sometimes, when my boy is eating his food, i wait and wait until he's not paying much attention and i jump up on his lap and take whatever he has and runs. He's much too stunned by my cuteness and speed to get mad. He just laughs and tells everyone what cute thing i just did. I love my boy.

Good job claiming the wrap. When I try that trick, my girl throws it away or gives it to BLU, just to "teach me a lesson". I like your mom better!

How are you, Hana?
I had to tell you that the scorpion was not in the bed, but on the carpet. But, when we first built this house and moved in, there were lots more scorpions coming into our house. Mom found one once climbing down the wall and onto our fireplace mantel! Ooh, mom was scared.
Have a good rest of the week!

That's a lot of eskie activity you have had lately! You must show some pics of the little 3 week old eskies. You were not at Kodak's eskie party, were you? I can't remember where Kodak lives....
Our house has only had 4 showings. It is really frustrating. Mom had a breakdown yesterday morning. We still close on the new house on Aug 6, and our movers are scheduled for the 9th. So we will just have to wait and see what happens with our old house.
Mom and daddy are considering cancelling the Maui trip because of all the stress and my petsitter is not available for the whole week they will be gone.....so mom is worried about us being in a new house alone so soon. I think my mom and daddy should still go on the trip to de-stress! But I don't want to be alone.....

You are a busy girl with all the eskie activities! I hope you have time to post some pics from all this fun stuff.
My mom has considered leasing our house, but she is afraid of doing that if the renters might wreck the place....we'll see.
The maui trip is still on for now, but mom has another thing brewing. She has hated her job for years and and opportunity just came up that she may take! It is working for a competitor of her current company, and this other company is based in Hayward, and she might have to come out to Hayward on the 18th! She is still thinking this through....
By the way, we have had about 6 mice stuck in the peanut butter glue traps in our garage. Mom cries every time she sees it. Our neighbors are using the kind of traps that you use. Both are horrible for the mice......they are my friends, you know.

Hi Hana,
No not Mervyn's, thank goodness. Are they even around any more? They all shut down here a while ago.
My mom just found another mouse in the peanut butter glue sandwich....she just feels ill every time this happens, and the mice are suffering. She just told daddy Len to get the kind of traps you have at your house. Mom hates killing animals even mice.
Yep, mom has a lot going on right now.....we will see if she can handle it all.....mom is not real good about overload.
