Darcy and Juneau's Puppies!!!!
When I said before that we had 4 Eskie Gatherings in the month of July, I was incorrect. I was counting the number of gatherings on my fingers, but since that one "thumb" is way up there, I forgot about it and mis-counted. July had FIVE eskie events! Three of them were in ONE weekend!
1. My half-sis came to visit me.
2. Abby the Eskie's Barkday Pawty
3. Visiting with Darcy's Puppies
4. Eskie Meet!
5. And Eskies on tour in San Francisco
Today I will blog about Darcy's Puppies. Meet my grandnieces (3) and grandnephew(1)!
My Mom and Dad visited my breeder and got to meet Darcy and Juneau's 2.5 to 3 week old puppies! Darcy is Ender and Kona's littermate. We had seen puppies as young as 7 weeks old before, but never as young as 3 weeks old! Unfortunately, I, Hana the Dog, wasn't able to go see them because they are too young to be around new dogs. They get their immunity from their mother's milk, but they don't get vaccinated until much later, so it's better to be safe and not expose them to new dogs yet. *
Casper D Dog's Mom went with my parents to see the puppies. She said "I've never seen Eskie puppies in person before so it was a treat. Darcy the mom was such a sweetie pie. And the babies were soooo very cute. Makes you wanna take them all home. Casper was quite suspicious when I got home. He sniffed me all over for quite some time even though I'd washed my hands and changed my clothes. "
Enough with the text. Here is what you've all been waiting for!!! Photos!!!
Purple girl (the most vocal of the litter) and blue boy. Notice their ears are UP. They are first UP and then later they go DOWN, then later they will be UP again.* MY ears were finally UP for good after I was about 13 weeks old.

Very cute when puppies snuggle. Their eyes opened just a few days before the visit. They have a hint of very dark blue in their eyes... this means they will have really dark brown eyes when they get older*

Proud Momma, Darcy! Notice how she's got that 3 legged pose down pat! See, runs in our family!

Meal time! Darcy is such a good Mom!
First nail trim! Red girl was not a happy camper!

Lastly, here is a very cute video. Turn up the volume, really up high, so you can hear what my Dad says about "the energetic one." He cracks me up! Oh, and go get your Human so they can hear and see this too!

Hee hee, look at the puppy that is upside down!
Some have pink noses and some have black noses. They will all turn mostly black later.
Time for the daily weigh-in. She's just about out-grown the bowl!
First nail trim! Red girl was not a happy camper!

*JB, I didn't do quite as good a report as you would have done, but these asterisked items are what I learned about eskie pups! Next time I will turn it over to you to do a better report.

Wags and licks,
Maya and Kena
Hana,
This is an OUTSTANDING report! I absolutely love the little babies! They almost sound like little baby seals in the video. Great job on your report. I think Darcy is a wonderful mom.
.....we did not have any mice in our traps this morning, thank goodness. Yes, my daddy has to finish the job with our traps. We need to get some like yours.

More mice? Do you live near the hills or a field or something? That is a lot of mice at your house. We live near a pond and treed area so we have lots of wildlife. There is a mouse highway under our fence in the evening....we can see the mice running on the horizontal piece of wood along the bottom of the fence!

Hi, Hana!
Those puppies are adorable!
I hope you can meet them soon!
Kisses and hugs

TOTALLY ADORABLE!
The mice in boxes in the garage is just like at our house! My mom found them in a night stand she was storing in there! Mouse poop and pee was in the drawers.....eeeewww! Mice are very smart. This morning one of our PB glue traps was moved away from the garage entry and it looked like some PB was missing! My mom thinks we need to put some mouse traps near our mouse highway....the mouse police are not stopping them from going into the garage!

That is a neat litterbox thing your mom's friend has. We just have regular ones at my house.
I can't believe how many mice are having a party in your garage! Mouse highway here and mouse party at your house! There were none this morning.
My mom is going to closing on the new house this morning. We will soon be the proud owners of 2, count em, 2 houses. Mom is not happy about the old house still weighing her down, but we are excited about the new one.

Thanks for the congratulations! Mom just got home and then we will pick up the keys in a few hours. DAddy will get a uhaul trailer and start moving some small stuff today. The movers come for the big stuff on Saturday. We are excited but my mom just is dying that our house is not selling. Crossing my paws really hard that it sells. PooPoo gets out of jail on Sunday....that is over a month as she went in on July 8!
