The Peanut Butter Sandwich and Vacation and Question

I spied 4 of these peanut butter sandwiches in my garage. Mom warned me not to go near them. She said she caught one mouse this morning, but she spared me the details and photos. She also said mice are tricky. One of the sandwiches didn't have any peanut butter on it anymore! I wish I could have been the one to lick the peanut butter off it. Do you think I should try to lick it off? It sure is tempting.

On another note....

Can anydog or anycat or anyhamsterrier guess where my parents went for a week without me? They saw these birdies in the sky. They look like the birdies JB's Mom saw. How did those birdies in Holland fly to where my parents went? They sure know how to get around.

My Mom got to feed the giraffe....

And she got to feed this animal, though she can't remember what type of animal it is:

And she fed the lorikeets:

She saw pelicans being fed:

Dad went on some crazy thing that turns you upside down and inside and out!

Dad got a bath on this thing:

There was beer to drink:

And cigars to smoke:
(belch... but at least they (Dad) chose chocolate and amaretto cigars)

And there was a Volkswagen car show along the water's edge:

Mom spied this pretty flower in a tree so she thought she'd try to snap a photo of it, like Isis's Sister and Copper's Mom often do:

So, can you guess where my parents went?

Mom also spied this little girl on a leash. What do you dogs think of this? Mom is curious to know your opinion. Mom thinks it's okay to do because in the end the girl will be safer, just like us dogs.

Hope you enjoyed seeing photos of my parents' trip!

Yay! I am your first comment and I am so excited to see a new post! You better be careful of those PB sandwiches.....do you think we can catch our armadillos with them? We are having a problem in my Small World with night visitors!! Not sure if you have been to my small world? www.jbssmallworld.blogspot.com
Wow....your parents had a great trip...to FL, right? My mom has never been to Florida so we don't know exactly where they were. I can't believe those gulls flew all the way across the Atlantic Ocean to visit your parents!!
My mom and daddy drank lots of beer on their holland trip and also went to Belgium one day. My mom loved a special beer made by monks!
Like your post, Hana!

Wait till one of those mouse things is eating the peanut butter and then get the mouse! They even have squeakers!

I think the little human on a leash is a good idea! I will see if I can find one for Mom and take HER on a walk!

Hana,
We think you better leave the peanut butter alone. If you don't lick it right, it will snap and pinch your tongue, and that would really really hurt.

We agree that it looks like Florida. Is it Busch Gardens in Tampa?

Our girl thinks it is ok for the kid to be on the leash. She just has one question.... is the mom carrying the little girl's poop baggie?

We're thinking your mom was in FL? What pretty sites!
I guess that little girl being walked on the leash will be safe and never get lost, just like us!
Brilliant idea!

Don't eat anything off those things! Trust me! I've seen what happens to the mice when they eat it!! My mom says your mom is very brave to take care of the traps on her own. Mom is TERRIFIED of mice and won't go near them. Someone saw a mouse in her office area once and somehow she avoided her office for 2 days and then didn't get much work done for another 2 days. She also didn't go out to the garage for a month because Dad said there was a wood rat out there. Dad and I caught it - that's why I know not to go near those trap things.

Kaos,
About the mouse in the garage... when my Mom went to the hardware store to buy the traps, she asked to be shown the aisle for the MOUSE traps. The clerk took her to the correct aisle and pointed out the mouse AND RAT traps! My mom's jaw dropped when she realized the droppings in the garage could be RAT droppings! But, my mom was just happy to find out the droppings in the garage were just mouse droppings and NOT RAT DROPPINGS! Whew! She hopes she will find another mouse in the peanut butter sandwich tonight. Where there's one mouse, there are usually many..... unfortunately, the little tiny mouse she caught over the weekend looked like Girl Girl.

Wowie Zowie! We got home today and guess what my Mom found in the garage!! It was a mouse peanut butter sandwich! That makes 2 mice in 2 nights. I wonder how many more there are. And one of the peanut butter sandwiches had the peanut butter missing! These are smart mice!

It must be the season for critter invasions. A couple of days ago, Comet was running all over the house trying to find chirping from the ceiling. Today, the house smelled really good - like something we'd love to roll in. The girl walked in and thought it stunk and opened all the doors and windows. She thinks a bird got stuck (and died) in our a/c duct. We hope we get to play with it when she finds it.

Maybe your mom will let you roll around in stinky mouse bodies.

Two mice sandwiches? Have you caught any more? My mom has some sticky glue traps near some cracks by the garage doors, and sometimes we catch mice there. I don't like it because sometimes they are still moving and they are so scared that they also pooped right there!

About the sticky trap, my mom gets daddy Len to do the dirty deed of putting the mouse out of his misery. My mom can't watch. Sometimes we have found tiny babies and my mom just wants to cry, but we can't have them in the house, so what can you do.

Hi Hana!
That peanut butter sandwich looks strange.. maybe you shouldn't go near it just in case it's a trick or something...
It sure looks like your humans had a fun time!! I wonder where they went?
And that leash fur humans is great, in our opinion. If they use it on us, then why not on their own puppies?

My mom is a dork who never goes anywhere so she had no idea where you went but it looks NICE!

And, my mom thinks that leashes should be special for us dogs. After all we are special, we aren't human. She is still laughing about the "is that the bag for the girl's poop" comment. I think they should get a girl that big on voice command!!

Well wherever your Mom and Dad went it looks like a ton of fun!
Mom puts the peanut butter sandwiches in the garage and doesn't let us go in there so we don't know too much about them.
As for the leash thing, my Mom is all for it, why not, they really are safer in the long run.

Hi Everyone! My parents went to Tampa Bay to see Busch Gardens, Ybor City for nightlife, and St. Petersburg for the hot sunny beach and water! If you buy your Busch Gardens tickets ahead of time, you can buy 2 day tickets for the price of 1 day. But, you gotta read the fine print very closely to be sure this is what you're getting! There are all different kinds of bargains. Fortunately one of the bargains somehow worked out, but it could have been disaster quite easily.....

The leash for the girl is sorta strange .. but i'm sure its a good idea as she won't be able to get lost!

Happy mother's day to your mom, Hana!
Oh and about the windmill....the windmill does still turn, but it was not for making energy, it was originally used to pump water out of the lowlands. Much of Holland is below sea level, so the dutch people used the mills to keep water out. There are some other windows too than what are in the picture. There are 3 floors that my cousins live in, and each is smaller than the first floor! I don't think you or I could do zoomies up or down those stairs, as they are very very steep! going up to the turret is even steeper! The inside of the mill has been remodeled over the years and now has central heat, but when my mom's aunt first lived there they did not even have water! It is pretty cool to see how my mom's cousins live. The windmill and most of the others in the country are maintained by a preservation society and my mom's cousins rent it. They are required to have the mill turning a certain amount of time each month.
