I Got Mail From My Boyfriend and My Mom Got Nothing

My Mommy has been expecting a package to arrive, but today on our front porch steps, I GOT MAIL!! Not her!! I got a package from my boyfriend, Casper D Dog. Oh boy, oh boy! This was a Wowie Zowie! Casper's Mom made me a picture of Casper and Me on our 2nd date. It's such a cute picture of us, one of my favorite dog pictures of us together! And Casper made us stars, purple stars. Boy oh boy, we are gonna be famous together with the stars on the picture frame! Only a true boyfriend would remember my favorite color. Does your boyfriend know what YOUR favorite color is?

Hershey told me something very sad today. He sent me this article titled "Iditarod Musher Disqualified for Hitting Dogs." It starts like this:

"ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Two-time runner-up Ramy Brooks was disqualified from the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race for abusing his dogs.

The 38-year-old Brooks hit each of his 10 dogs with a trail marking lathe, similar to a surveyor's stake, after two refused to get up and continue running on an ice field, race marshal Mark Nordman told The Associated Press from Nome on Sunday....."

There is more to this article if you are interested. One of his dogs died the next day on the trail. They do not think she died because of the abuse, but they are still performing tests.
