Featured Blog Award for April!!! Woo hoo!!

Wowie Zowie !!! Guess what?! Thanks to my woofaful dog pals, I got 2nd place in the contest. This means I get the Featured Blog award for April 2007!! Woo hoo! This is such a great honor! I got 11 out of 52 votes, and there were 6 of us competing. I just feel very lucky to NOT have gotten zero votes. Thank you everydog who voted for me!!! And thank you to my good friend Ivy who nominated me! Thank you also to many of you who I know registered for the very first time with the DWB Discussion Boards.
The winner of the Awesome Blog contest was Wally. Wow, how can I compete with somedog who's been blogging since December 2004. That's like 2 years ago x 7 = 14 years of dog blogging! Congratulations to Wally for winning the contest!~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
On a more somber note, PetConnection has said more than 1,300 pets have been reported as deceased in their database. These numbers are self-reported, meaning people have submitted information on their pets to the web site. They have a blog that is updated with information.I hope none of you were affected by the crisis and that all of you are in good health. Unfortunately, it seems my mom's friend's doggie was affected. My mom's friend put two and two together, and it perfectly explains why her doggie passed. And Ronak knows a cat who was affected. Sigh...
I sure hope everything gets resolved soon. My mom returned all my wet canned food to the store, even though the numbers on the bottom of the can did not match the recall numbers. She said it's better to be safe than sorry. She also said originally my brand of dog food was not on the first recall list, but they added it later, so all of you gotta check and RECHECK the list. So, for now, I just eat kibble and snacks. I cross my paws that things will get resolved soon and that no other dogs get sick from the bad bad food.

We agree, it's better to be safe than sorry!
Hey, Hana, would your mom mind telling us how she makes the ribbon necklaces? Our volunteers want to make them and sell them at events to raise money. If she doesn't mind, would she email us at hthnbros@gmail.com?
Hey congratulations on being a featured blog!! I tried to vote and got messed up doing it. I'm not real good at these things yet..
I had to check the list and Mom read it to me. We were happy to see that none of the stuff she gives us is on the list -- whew!
Hope you had a good weekend!
Rudy
My human sister has some of that food but she's keeping it! It is from before the dates on the list .. I sure do hope that it's okay .. she won't listen to Mom and return it.
YAY for winning featured blog for April! You deserve it!
Congratulations Hana. You are such an awesome dog, it is fitting that you get the awesome blog award.
I just eat dry food and it was not involved in the recall. Boy am I glad! Miss Cindy says that they have had two cats that got sick and had to be put to sleep because of the bad food. She explained the way it hurts kidneys to my Mom. I listened.
Way cool!!! Congrats Hana!
Congratulations on being the featured blog! You deserve it!
Sorry to hear about your mom's friend's dog. We used to get mad at the girl because we only get kibble, and never get the yummy wet food. Now we are glad she's such a meanie!

Congratulations Hana!
Your mom did the right thing by returning your canned food. The dry kibble may not be as yummy, but better safe than sorry!
Your mom must love you alot.
Your pal,
Roxie
Hana, I couldn't leave a comment under the treats for some reason. Hmmm? The teddy bear treat was from me and the house was from Hershey. We picked them out at the pet store. We were going to buy you a $900 puppy but Hershey said that it might not mail well.
Congratulations!!!!
xoxo
