Hee hee .. 71% said they are their dogs parents! I think if they had the choice of slave that would have been the correct answery myself.
Parent. Definately parent. She is my Mom and I like it that way ... I think she does too.

My people call me their little buddy, so I guess that means they're my best friends, but if you ask me, "bearer of dog food" is a good title too.
Since my girl likes kids - but only when they belong to somebody else and can go home, I'm glad she didn't pick parent. And we own her, not the other way around, so of the available choices, she was left with guardian.
