How Far Will Your Human Go for You

My mommy loves me very much. I was reminded of this when I told some friends about my new blog and that my mommy is officially a CRAZY ESKIE LADY now. One of my friends reminded me of an earlier incident that ALREADY indicated my mommy was a crazy eskie lady back then.

In March of this year, I went up to Lake Tahoe with my niece, Happy, to hike and play in the snow. We can track miles just going up and down on the same trail, going back and forth between the slow humans. I don't wear doggie shoes because they always slip off my paws, so I go barefoot.

As usual, balls of ice developed under my paws, and I stop and bite off those EVIL things. WELL, this time, the balls of ice were MONSTER sized! I guess it had something to do with the snow conditions. I COULD NOT bite into these evil ice balls that were stuck to my feet! They were hurting my feet. It was so frustrating. Try walking on marbles if you don't believe me. Anyhow, this meant I couldn't walk without constantly stopping. Mommy and Daddy usually try to break the ice off with their hands, but the ice balls were so big and so frozen, they wouldn't break off. What to do!?? Well, mommy loved me so much that she saved the day by putting each of my 4 paws in her mouth, and she BIT the meannie balls of ice WITH HER OWN TEETH! That is true doggie LOVE! She was my savior.

p.s. In case you are wondering if doggies really do sweat from their paws, the answer is Yes. Mommy says the balls of ice tasted like salt! (Yuck she says, but I like the taste of my own paws.)

When it snows here, the snow must be a good snow because I have never gotten snow in my paws, just in my fur. Oh man I will miss my snow when we move!

Aw, my mom and dad would do the same for me!

My mom actually clips my toe hair to keep balls of ice from forming on my feet and between my toes. She knows I would not leave boots on!

I'm going to link to you from my blog!

Oh, my mom's coworkers call her crazy dog lady!

Aw, Ivy, it must have been a Kodak moment when you rolled over and had all 4 feets in the air.

Indy, my mom does clip the fur on the bottoms of my feets, but the ice giants still form under my feet! It is horrible! I don't wish this upon my worst enemy.

Copper, I think you would like snow. You are short haired, so I don't think the snow will create ice marbles under your feets.

Ender, just take a bathtub full of snow with you to Texas. It's that simple.

Wow Hana,
Your mom really does love you to do that. My girl claims my feet smell like Fritos. She wants to know if your frozen feet tasted like Fritos too (they are salty).

Hi Blu and Comet! Yes, my parents say my feetsies smell like Fritos corn chips. Other humans wonder how my parents know this. :-) Some say doggie feet smell like popcorn. Mommy says my frozen feet only tasted like salt, not corn chips. That's just as well, else she'd be trying to eat my feet which would not be good for me. Mommy loves corn chips.

Wow! Your mom really, really loves you lots! I asked Linda if I could put my foot in her mouth and she just gave me one of her looks. I guess she doesn't love me as much your mom loves you.
