Thank You
We want to thank all of you for your messages of support during this difficult time. Hana passed away one week ago today. The house is very quiet without her. There are so many things that remind us of her. When we look over at the window ledge, she should be there spying on all the neighbors. When we're getting food to eat, she'd be glued to our side, her hot breath at our knee, begging politely for treats. When we're watching TV in the family room, she'dsit close by, but just far enough so we can't touch her since she liked her elbow room. When we're at In-N-Out, she'd be sitting in the back seat, drooling for french fries. When we're getting ready for bed, she'd be in her little bed next to ours, making cute little loud snores. All the tributes to Hana... what can I say... it's been overwhelming to know how much she meant to so many of you. We are thankful to know you and honored to be a part of Dogs With Blogs. We owe a special thank you to Ender, Hana's nephew, for introducing us to the dog blogging world. And a special thanks to Casper D Dog, for introducing us to the Eskie Board. It was because of them that we learned about and became part of this wonderful dog (and cat, and hamsterrier) group, and we have a record of so many of the dogventures Hana took us on.
We have not posted anything since we made the difficult announcement, but we have seen the tributes to Hana and we'll be thanking each and every one of you when we are more up for posting. Your phone calls, messages, tributes and support mean so much to us. We can only hope that Hana is looking down on us so that she knows how much she meant to all of you.
During this past week, we've been in constant emotional turmoil, reviewing the events that occurred on that evening and questioning our decision. After talking to a number of you, we believe we made the right decision, though we still keep second guessing ourselves. We did NOT want Hana to suffer. She led a good life, and as her parents, it was our responsibility to help her go peacefully. It was such a difficult decision to make. We don't wish that on anyone.
Tonight we picked up Hana's ashes. They are in a little wood box, with her name on it, that sits on our nightstand. We also have her paw print in clay and a lock of her fur. Her collar and leash also sit on our nightstand.
Thank you so much for caring about our little furbaby, Hana the Dog. We will miss her greatly and will never forget her. She brought so much joy to us. She was the sparkle in our lives.

We hope in time the gigantic hole in your hearts will be filled with warm memories and the comfort of knowing that Hana lives on forever in everyone she touched. Right now all we can offer is our love and support to help you through the terrible pain. Remember, you are still part of our community and are not alone!
Hana will be in our hearts forever. Your friendship these past years is also very dear to us. Hugs to you both.

Dear Hana's Mommy and Daddy,
This is Mack. I lost my big sister to something very difficult similar to what your little princess. Mommy is very sad for you, and she wanted me to tell you that it will get easier. Mommy really misses my sister, but she was so sick that it was a blessing for her to be released from a body that was so broken.

Dear Hana's Mom and Dad,
I will miss Hana too. I wish I could be there to give you a hug and doggy licks. Know that you are in our hearts and we are constantly praying for both of you.

Our Mom gets leaky eyes every time she thinks of Hana. Mom has Katie's collar and a lock of her fur in a box on her nightstand. We're sure Hana and Katie are good friends at the Bridge. (((Hugs, purrs and headbonks)))

Thank you for posting during this difficult time. I've been thinking a lot about you and what life must be like so soon after Hana's departure. You did the right thing. I had to do the same for my 15 yr old and I still second guess myself today and she was a nice old age. I don't want to go there again, but we all come to a crossroads at some point when we love a dog. How perfect the world would be if our dogs could grow as old as we do. God knew what he was doing though because he made sure there would be room in our hearts for more. Hana was a true Eskie Angel, her pictures are beautiful, she was perfect. You have done a magnificant job of honoring her. Bless you.
Hi there to Hana's Mom & Dad,
We are so sorry for your loss. We came across Hana a few days ago and we have read lots of comments and post from the community that show how Hana was a wonderful, special and beautiful puppy.
We pray that Hana happily runs free at the rainbow bridge and watch over you too.

It's always such a miserable time when we lose someone we love and lose them before their time. Nine isn't all that old anymore for a dog. Sending tender cuddles for your heard to heal.
we are so sorry for you and hana. it is so so so tough to lose a dog.
Sorry we have not kept up with reading your posts. We still think of Hana all the time, and thank you for the beautiful ribbon necklace, that JB will wear proudly in her honor. I have little wooden boxes from my 3 kitties in my study, so they are always with me, just like Hana will always be with you. You made the right decision in letting Hana go peacefully.

I have just come across this blog from One Collie and my heart goes out to you one year on. God Bless Hana, you will be together again one day and just maybe you could find room now for another furbaby because there's so many out there just waiting for you to give your love to..
Best Regards, Dougie the Westie and mummy Juliette.
